Thank you for your continued support of the High School Parliamentary Debate World Conference & Competition (PDWC). We are deeply grateful for the interest we have received from many schools in Japan and around the world regarding the 11th PDWC, to be held in 2027.

We are pleased to announce that the details for PDWC 2027 have now been finalized. The 11th PDWC will be held online. Holding the event online widens the opportunity to participate for young people who, for a variety of reasons, may find it difficult to travel abroad. We are also currently reaching out to young people in regions affected by conflict and social circumstances so that they, too, may have the opportunity to participate.

As with the 2026 event, we plan to welcome a total of 12 schools: six from Japan and six from overseas. While we regret that we are unable to accommodate more schools, we sincerely appreciate your understanding.

The event overview and schedule are provided below.

Applications for participating schools open today. Please see the application form for application guidelines and details on how to apply.

The application deadline is Sunday, October 25.

The entire PDWC team is committed to making PDWC 2027 a meaningful and rewarding experience for all participants.

The participating schools will be announced on November 5, 2026.
